The competition will open Monday March 13, 2023 and ends Friday April 7, 2023.
To enter aproject into this competition, you will need to prepare and one 24” x 36” digital presentation board in PDF format with a file size between 3 MB and 10 MB containing the following:
Written Component:
Your project title.
Trophy description outlining the main symbolism in it and how the trophy could be manufactured (max. 300 words). The text should be in Finnish, Swedish or English.
Your contact information including participant name(s), university name, phone number, and email in the bottom right corner of the presentation board.
Design Component:
Two to four (2-4) sketches and/or renderings of your trophy. Your pictures should convey the materials and colors of the trophy.
One (1) layout picture and one (1) side view showing the width, height and depth of the trophy. The trophy should be of that size and weight, that it can easily be carried with one hand.
Your file name should be: DICO_your title_2023_board
(e.g. DICO_FabulousTrophy_2023_board.pdf).

All submissions must be submitted electronically.
The winning design will be selected by a jury of design professionals. Submissions are judged on excellence in aesthetics, design and feasibility as well as representing the core message of Digital Construction Award.
Winners will be announced Spring 2023 and will be featured on Digital Construction newsletter. Digital Construction event provides the 1st place winner with 500 € prize. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will also receive official digital assets, including competition winner logos for self-promotion, coverage and mention on Gravicon’s social media accounts. The 1st place winner is commissioned to realize their design into a physical trophy in cooperation with Digital Construction event and Gravicon.
The winner will be compensated for the realization.
Entry to the competition is free of charge.
This competition is open to graduate and undergraduate students around Finland who are currently enrolled in a design, interior design or architecture programs. Entrants must currently be enrolled at the time of submission. School projects already completed may be reinterpreted or edited to meet the requirements of this competition. If the school project was completed as a group, all members must agree in writing to enter the reinterpreted and/or edited project, and all members must be listed as participants on the entry form. Participants can enter individually, or as a team with a maximum of five (5) team members.
